What’s your go to item of clothing to make sure you look and feel great for the day ahead?
A nice short suit jacket always makes any outfit look smarter.
Who’s your biggest source of inspiration?
My mum is pretty amazing. She works so hard and she is so loving and caring.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Whats the worst that can happen?
What do you wear when nobody’s watching?
Lots and lots of patterns!
What’s the first thing you do when you get up in the morning?
Make a cup of ‘All Day Breakfast Tea’, usually along with a crumpet and go back to bed to eat it. I get up even earlier just so I can have breakfast in bed every day!
What do you do to wind-down after a long day at work?
I go to the gym/swim/running most days. I love running as it helps my mind after a stressful day… I take a lot of frustration out on the pavement.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
How do you maintain a good work-life balance?
I like to break my day into parts and I always make sure I take breaks for fresh air and do exercise. I quite often have to work weekends but then I just make it fun and possibly give myself the Friday afternoon off but to be honest I love work so I don't really mind! I make sure I am not a slave to emails though, I can delegate well and I switch off my work brain by 9pm.
What’s your secret to success?
Working hard and never giving up. I don't think there are any standard secrets or tricks, it just comes down to a lot of hard work, testing what works for you and never giving up even when you get knock back after knock back. You really do need relentless determination and focus.
What was the first job you ever had?
My first job was working in ‘Bakers Oven’ as weekend staff selling pasties! I ate a canny few as well…!
What are the three things you can’t live without in your work wear wardrobe?
Black trousers, suit jackets and trainers.
What’s an average day like now you’re the boss?
I wake up at 6.15 and have 30 minutes in bed with my cup of tea and crumpet. I choose which clothes I am going to wear the night before so I can just shower, get dressed and leave the house by 7.30am. Our office is only a 10 minute drive so I am at my desk by 8am and crack on with an hour of work undisturbed.
