Sital’s globetrotting career took him to Spain, Denmark and China to design for the world’s biggest high-street brands before arriving at Wallis, where he has been Senior Head Designer since 2011 specialising in outerwear.
COATS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BIG WALLIS SIGNATURE STATEMENT WHATS THE UNIQUE KEY?
Wallis is synonymous for its coats and this season really emphasizes that. Quality and attention to detail are key elements considered when designing a coat here. The coat must always display a hint to today's current' trend and provide an update to every woman's wardrobe, staying true to the Wallis handwriting.
WHAT INFLUENCES YOU WHEN STARTING TO DESIGN A NEW COLLECTION?
My personal inspiration comes from all over, architectural lines, city inspiration and minimal designers. We often go on design inspirational trips overseas. I'm really inspired by the Far East and especially Scandinavia at the moment.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE CONSIDERATION WHEN DESIGNING THE PERFECT COAT?
I always try to remain loyal to quality materials and beautiful craftsmanship.
WHAT ARE THE SIGNIFICANT STYLE POINTERS WE SHOULD WATCH FOR THIS AUTUMN?
I think that a Wallis coat should be 'effortlessly easy' to wear and should work from day to night and weekends! Quality and fabric are key, not forgetting considered intricate detailing in all of our styles.
