About Laura About Laura

Sum up the Wallis AW14 collection in three words
Chic, luxe, sensual.

What do you think is the most versatile piece
from the Wallis AW14 collection?
Classic coats, and the perfect
slouchy black trouser.

Which coat do you love from the Wallis AW14
collection the most?
Reefer or Boyfriend coat.

We love your soft blue Wallis
outfit; what will be your go to
colour this AW14?
Navy forever!

In a season of separates how
will you be styling yours?
Mixed with denim and vintage
under oversized coats
and ankle boots.

What are you looking forward to
wearing most this AW14?
I love my winter layers, from
chunky fisherman's sweaters to
thick ribbed tights and polo-necks.
I love the Wallis knits with a hint of
seventies disco sparkle.

If you had to give just one piece of style
advice what would it be?
In order to be irreplaceable one must always be
different.' Coco Chanel. Follow instincts, be original and
unafraid to stand out or make mistakes. This could be
sober minimalism or flamboyant fancy-dress, but I'm
always more interested in the woman than the dress.

What is your 9-5?
No routine. But I'm almost always up early with my
kids and they come first, always. I might bike to my
West London studio, or hop on the Eurostar for a Paris
shoot, or just head to the park or a museum on a rare
day off. I love and am constantly inspired by London,
despite my eternal wanderlust.

As a busy working mum, how do you
adapt your wardrobe?
I don't believe my wardrobe changed
when I become a mother, I always just
wear what I love, perhaps just less
time to worry/ get ready.

What would be your career highlight and if
you hadn’t done modelling what career
would you have chosen?
Career highlight always the last thing I’ve done or the job I'm
most looking forward to. I don't dwell on the past. And I love
photography, so, in another lifetime, I would have been happy
behind the camera.

What is your favourite red carpet/party outfit
you've ever worn and why?
Red carpet- I loved the hot pink Dior dress (actually a skirt
and top) I wore to the Royal Academy a couple of years ago and a
dramatic white-ruffed Chanel gown is another favourite.
