1 Where permitted on the account

Interest Free Period Maximum 56 days on Retail Purchases if you pay your balance in full and on time.

Allocation of payments We will apply payments we receive to your account in the following order:
  1. Interest, Charges or Fees (other than foreign currency)(in that order)
  2. Cash Transactions (with those shown on the previous statement being repaid before those added since the statement)
  3. Insurance Premiums
  4. Retail Purchases (with those shown on the previous statement being repaid before those added since the statement)

Foreign currency fees will be repaid in the same order set out above as the Transaction to which they relate. See the 'Other Financial Information' section of the customer terms and conditions for full details.

Minimum repayment The full balance outstanding if it is less than £4.00; otherwise, 4% (minimum £4.00) of the outstanding balance.

No Quibble Guarantee

In the unlikely event that you are not totally satisfied with your Wallis Card, please call our Customer Services on 0871 522 5321 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) and take advantage of our No Quibble Guarantee. If you contact us within 60 days of opening your Account and then pay your outstanding balance within 30 days, we will close your Account for you and waive the interest charges and fees. (We may require the notification in writing.) This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect any statutory rights that you may have. Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality and security purposes.

Who can apply for a Wallis Card?

To be eligible for an Wallis Account you:

  • are 18 years or over
  • are a UK resident and have been living in the UK for over a year

And if either you or your partner:

  • are in regular weekly paid employment for 16 hours or more
  • are self-employed or retired
  • receive an incapacity allowance

Is there an annual fee?

You are not charged an annual fee for your Wallis Account. For details of your minimum monthly payment see FAQ: How much do I have to pay each month?

How often do I receive my Account statement?

You should see a monthly statement through the post, with a breakdown of all your transactions - as long as you are using your Account on a regular basis. Otherwise you will receive statements at the minimum intervals required by law.

How do I pay my Wallis Account?

You can choose of the following four options to pay your Wallis Account:

  • In any Arcadia store
  • By post - send a cheque payable to GE Money, PO Box 848, Liverpool, L71 2XX
  • By cheque/cash - call into any bank with the Giro slip attached to your Account statement (some banks charge a small handling fee)
  • By Direct Debit - call 0870 127 2706 set up an automatic payment from your bank Account

How much do I have to pay each month?

You must make a minimum monthly payment of £4 or 4% of the outstanding balance (whichever is the greater) or the full balance if it is less than £4. Alternatively, you can pay your balance in full using any of the payment methods listed in the FAQ: How do I pay my Wallis Account?

What if I have a complaint about my Wallis Card?

Our aim is to offer outstanding service at all times, so should you have a complaint, we want to help you to resolve it. Please contact our Customer Services Helpline on 0870 127 2706 giving full details including your name, address and account number, or write to PO Box 700, Leeds, LS99 2BD.

If you subsequently feel that the matter has not been resolved satisfactorily, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service at South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR.

Alternatively you can also refer your complaint to the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) of which GE Money is a member. The Association operates a Conciliation Scheme and also an Arbitration Scheme for members and their customers. Details are available from the FLA at Imperial House, 15-19 Kingsway, London WC2B 6UN or at www.fla.org.uk

Yes, you can use your Wallis Card for all Wallis products - whether you buy them in-store or online.

Will I have to pay if my Account is used by someone else?

It is your responsibility to inform us immediately if:

  • you have lost your Account number/ passcode / User ID or
  • you suspect your Account is being misused

If the Account Card is lost, stolen or misused by someone who obtained it without your consent, you may be liable for up to £50 of any loss to us. If it is misused with your permission you will be liable for all losses. You will not be liable for losses to us which take place after you have told us of the theft, etc, provided you confirm any oral message in writing within seven days.
